We pride ourselves on delivering a premium service from initial enquiry through to handing over the keys - and beyond.  It’s always a pleasure to hear from the buyers and sellers we have helped to move on with their property journey.  In the spirit of letting our clients tell our service story for us, here is a selection of the appreciative reviews we have received in recent times.

We recently worked with Donna to find our dream property in the Dordogne region. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to help shortlist properties, show us around the region and ultimately help us to purchase the perfect home. Donna goes above and beyond to provide a genuinely outstanding level of service, we would thoroughly recommend her to anyone.

As most people know, buying or selling a property is always complicated, especially if the process takes place across two countries.
We recently sold our second home in Southwest France during a time when the market was not particularly vibrant. It was a difficult experience as it was a property we were very fond of.
The whole process was handled by Judith Whitlow, who took care of the sale and of us with great aplomb.
Not only was the process an emotionally demanding one, it was also subject to huge complexities – legal, technical, financial, and procedural.
Judith’s fluency in French and English was vital, but her knowledge of all the myriad details, from the workings of fosse septiques to the nuances of tax law (in both countries) made a dangerous administrative minefield much easier to negotiate.
In short, she guided us along the entire journey with great professionalism and personal empathy.
We couldn’t recommend her, or Beaux Villages, more highly.

Having decided to go ahead with our plan to buy an investment property in France, we initially tracked the market across a number of websites and across a wide area covering the Dordogne and the Lot regions. It quickly became clear that the responses we received from the Beaux Villages team were the most helpful and, based on some discussions about what we were looking for, we were able to put an initial viewing trip together.

Based on this viewing trip, we narrowed the geographic area of our search and Beaux Villages became the leading agent we spoke to, including arranging some visits to see properties that were not exclusively listed with them, which made the viewing trips easy to arrange and manage. After a second viewing trip, we found our dream property, albeit at a price which was a little over our budget.

At this point, the Beaux Villages team helped us navigate the process of understanding what the different stages of the offer and purchasing process would be, what the fees for each aspect would be and allowed us to put together an offer which was rejected initially, but some months later secured us a property we are really pleased, and sometimes a little amazed, to now own. Without the input of Judith Whitlow [, and her husband Kevin,] we would have not had the confidence to navigate the process successfully.

Their input, from the initial offer all the way through to the couple of weeks after our purchase went through (when dealing with some of the issues which arise when buying a property abroad), was clear, pragmatic and incredibly helpful. Based on their experience having lived in France for some time and the clarification they could therefore offer on issues which were sometimes difficult to understand and assess, we felt very comfortable making decisions about what is a very significant investment for us. I warmly recommend Judith to anyone considering purchasing a property in France – without them, we would have had a much more difficult time getting to completion.

Buyer (name withheld)

Judith Whitlow has spent months helping me find my French home and I finally completed my purchase a couple of weeks ago. Judith is patient, knowledgeable, always willing to help in whatever way she can and overall a thoroughly professional agent. She handled tricky situations with the vendor in a calm and effective manner and was attentive and proactive in both the legal process and the practical matters involved in buying a house in France. I am very grateful to her for staying the course and for all her help, support and guidance.

We put our house on the market with Beaux Villages and from the very beginning we were impressed with their services. Good photographs and brochure were only the start; a team of agents from various offices came to the house so that they were better informed and could speak with firsthand knowledge to their respective potential buyers. We were aided throughout by the team especially by Donna Voice but also by Eric Garnier; and when we had some transactional difficulties (not owing to anything on the part of Beaux Villages) they were “there” offering advice and support. We are (and have been) delighted to recommend them.

“I bought my dream property La Balie through Beaux Village in April 2022, I had been looking at properties throughout France and fell in love with the Lot et Garonne where Beaux Village has offices.  Vanessa, their representative who contacted me after I had inquired about another property helped locate properties that were not going to waste my time.

More than that she really helped me understand what I was getting into and worked tirelessly to answer questions not easy to look into for someone living in Hampshire, United Kingdom. For example she visited the local Marie and farmers who I was going to be neighbours with to check there were no telephone masts, wind or pig farms about to be erected on my doorstep, so I really felt I was making an informed decision when I went through the buying process.

Being English herself but speaking French, I think she had a real understanding for my concerns and was always on hand to check something or help with a recommendation. She was great in providing the missing information my UK solicitor asked for and when it came to the final part of completion, she was with me in the notaires office. Because of her professional input I’m happily living in France, not for one moment regretting my decision.”
